"Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”
Matthew 28:15-20

Exalt Praise and Worship Adoration is spending time with Jesus in the Eucharist while modern songs of praise and worship are sung. You may be familiar with the songs from Christian radio or well-known artists like Matt Maher, Hillsong United, Audrey Assad, etc. When we spend time in prayer in Adoration, we enter in to receiving Christ and singing adds to our prayer and adoration of God's greatness.
“He who sings,” said St. Augustine, “prays twice.” The holy Bishop of Hippo meant that singing adds to our praise and worship of God—that our voices are gifts, with which we can make music to the Lord. Sung prayer expresses the joy of the heart, the happiness resulting from one who has encountered Jesus Christ and experienced his love. Sung prayer reminds us of the choirs of heaven, with whom we are called to praise God eternally in heaven."
We sing to bring glory and honor to Our Lord, gain a deeper knowledge of Him, and become more aware of the presence of God in Adoration. However, please know that your participation in this prayer time does not have to be singing along. While it is definitely encouraged for you to sing with the musicians, you are more than welcome to just listen and let the lyrics guide your prayer time.
Watch the video below from Ascension Press/Fr. Mike Schmitz for an added explanation of the goodness of Adoration and Praise and Worship music.
All are welcome to join us at our Exalt Praise and Worship Adoration nights. It is an "Open House" kind of event, meaning you can come and go as you need to during the prayer nights.
Save the Date for an outing to hear Jason Evert speak on chastity and Theology of the Body on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 from 6:00pm - 9:15pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park. Youth age 13+ and parents are welcome, tickets are $25 each. We may be able to arrange carpooling from St. Bridget's to the event. Registration is coming soon, please save the date for this awesome opportunity for teens to learn about the importance of chastity and parents to learn how they can better teach/reach their teens when it comes to the topic of chastity.
More about the event and Jason Evert:
This is a double feature event combining Purified and Gender & the Theology of Your Body into a retreat event.
Purified brings parents and teens (13+) together to discover God’s plan for love and opens up an opportunity for them to continue the discussion about this important topic at home, in a healthy and easy way with resources that work. The event includes a new version of Jason’s renowned talk Love or Lust, where he mixes humor with down-to-earth practicality that removes any awkwardness, making the difficult conversations about love much easier. Your family will leave with an understanding of the good news of chastity, a healthy sense of self-worth, and the ability, if needed, to start again.
Gender and the Theology of Your Body will follow after a short break. This talk asks, “What’s the meaning of sex, gender, and the human body?” The truth of masculinity and femininity are being questioned like never before. Discover how your body as a man or woman reveals your identity and calling. This talk is for teens and adults and provides the opportunity to discuss this difficult topic facing teens and families today.
This event includes Eucharistic Adoration, praise and worship, and an opportunity to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. This format transforms a couple of talks into a retreat for the family, allowing them to encounter the source of purity, healing, and renewal, Jesus Christ.
Join us for another Donuts-To-Go fundraiser! We will be asking for free-will donations for donuts in the Narthex following the weekend Masses of January 11th - 12th. If a young person is interested in going on one of the summer faith trips, participating in fundraising opportunities is a necessary way to help fund their trip. But fundraising is not just for those going on the summer trips. All youth can participate and funds will be reserved for them to use on a possible upcoming Youth Event that requires an extra fee.
To participate in the Donuts-To-Go fundraiser and receive credit for offsetting the cost of a future event, please sign up using the SignUpGenius below to help set up, "sell" donuts in the Narthex following Mass, and clean up.

This 2025 summer, the High School Youth Ministry is going to Steubenville Rochester Youth Conference from July 11th-13th! All incoming 9th Graders-Recent High School Graduates (school year of 2025-2026) are welcome to sign up and attend. Steubenville Conferences bring together thousands of young people to learn about the Catholic Church, listen to great speakers, grow in relationship with Christ, pray with their peers in Praise and Worship Adoration, and so much more! Our group will carpool to Rochester and stay in an Airbnb house together. We will be attending the conference at the Mayo Civic Center on Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning. The trip costs have been completely and generously donated, so the youth do not have to pay for anything, except their own lunch and snacks on the short travel days. Trip spots are limited, once all the spots have been claimed or it is after the deadline of December 31st, a waiting list will start if need be.
Because this trip has been generously donated, we ask that only youth who are very serious about and committed to coming on the trip register to attend. If you are on the fence, please don't claim a spot and instead email Laura with questions or to be put on the waiting list. Thank you!
Below you will find a list of online resources that encourage youth to pursue and learn about their faith in a variety ways. Suggestions range from podcasts to Instagram accounts to prayerful workouts. Feel free to explore the options available. Contact Laura if you have any other great suggestions to add to this running list.
