Whether you are new to the Parish or have been a life-long member, the ways in which you can serve your Parish are countless. - Baby Blanket & Beyond VOlunteer Help Needed
  
  The long time volunteer Director of our Baby Blanket & Beyond, Jayne, is stepping down, and we need new volunteer help to fill the needs of the ministry. Please consider taking on a role explained below and feel free to reach out to Jayne if you have any questions. We pray the Holy Spirit nudges you to come be a part of this beautiful outreach!

  Last year a Welcome Committee (“Committee”) was formed as a result of the 2021 Archdiocesan Synod process. The Committee had its first meeting in August, 2022 and began researching, developing and implementing ways in which our parish might enhance its “welcoming” persona. As a result, the Greeters Ministry, New Parishioner Ministry and the Busy Bag Ministry were formed. Briefly, the Greeters Ministry strives to welcome the faithful to each mass in a warm, caring and friendly manner; the New Parishioner Ministry is designed to personally reach out to each new parishioner to assist them in fully connecting and participating in our parish community; and the Busy Bag Ministry was formed to engage young children during mass by using their creativity and imagination.
  All three Ministries, along with the Committee, gladly welcome new members and encourage you to reach out for further information.
  You may also have noticed a new Information Board in the narthex designed to provide parishioners and others with parish guidance and ministry information (currently under construction). Recently, the Committee renovated the existing library space and added a quickly accessible “quiet time” family room. The new area has been designed to provide a retreat area for parents and their little ones, should the need arise during Mass or at any other time when the parish office is open.
  We are now asking for your assistance. What would you suggest the Committee pursue to make our parish as “welcoming” as it could possibly be? What have you witnessed in other parishes that made you feel part of that parish community? What would you like to see happen at our parish to make you, and others, feel more comfortable and valued?

- Greeters Ministry
  
  As a part of the Synod process, a "Welcoming" committee has been meeting since September. One of the areas we have focused on is providing and enhancing a very inviting and welcoming atmosphere at our weekend Masses. To achieve this, we are starting a "Greeter" ministry; we believe vibrant hospitality is vital to the long-term success of our Catholic community - that is important to show people "we are happy you are here." We are looking and praying for volunteers to join the new Greeters Ministry. This is something that can be done by ALL AGES - families, young adults, singles, couples, anyone - whenever it works for your schedule; if you have a heart for hospitality, please consider joining us! - SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING
  
  VIRTUS Training is a Requirement for All Volunteers
  
  Please visit the VIRTUS wesbite to create an account or log in to your existing account and complete the Essential 3 documents. The Essential 3 consists of the Code of Conduct, a background check, and a VIRTUS training session. There may be additional training to required depending on your volunteer position. NOTE: If you have an existing VIRTUS account, please do not create a new one. If you have forgotten your account login, please contact the Safe Environment Coordinator, Aubrey.
  
  Volunteers are required to stay up to date on their VIRTUS training in order to volunteer. Please log in on a regular basis to stay up to date.
