St. Bridget's participation in the Archdiocesan Synod is still in full swing. Here are a few updates on what has been happening:
The Synod parish leadership team has been meeting frequently to discuss how St. Bridget's can improve in areas of parish life
We are forming a Welcoming Committee whose purpose will be to plan family events and parish orientation events. We hope to have this committee in place by the end of August 2022.
We are planning a survey that will define opportunities and areas to enhance and nurture adult faith formation. We plan to have the survey coming out in the next few weeks and then to implement some of the suggested activities by the end of August 2022.
We are also looking into how we might combine resources with other parishes and the Archdiocese to bring other opportunities for growing our faith.
On the Archdiocesan level, here is what is taking place still in the Synod:
The large Synod gathering involving delegates from all the parishes of the Archdiocese will occur on Pentecost weekend. This gathering will give Archbishop Hebda final feedback from all the Synod small group meetings that took place Fall 2021.
Archbishop Hebda will then develop the framework for planning Archdiocesan programs going forward for the next 5 t0 10 years. This framework will available on the Feast of Christ the King.
Novena to the Holy spirit
You are invited to pray with Catholics across the Archdiocese and more than 500 Archdiocesan Synod Members the Novena to the Holy Spirit. The novena will conclude the weekend of the Synod Assembly, during which Synod Members will enter into discussion and prayer to provide feedback to Archbishop Hebda in this final step of the Synod Process. The Holy Spirit is instrumental to the success of our Synod! Please join us in praying the Novena to the Holy Spirit for the Synod. You may join in praying with the entire Archdiocese by praying the Novena starting May 27th - June 4th, 2022. Click to view the Novena below. Thank you for your prayers!
