The St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church Mission Statement is:
With faith in Christ's word and love our parish mission calls us to: Enrich our spiritual lives through active paritication in liturgical celebrations and Christian education Promote the unity of all ministries working together as many parts in the one Body of Christ Foster the spirit of ecumenism among all of God's people regardless of differences Search for spiritual growth and harmony by promoting justice and peace in ourselves, families, communities, and throughout the world.
We are called by God to be good stewards of our gifts, talent, time, and treasure. At St. Bridget's we are always striving to be good stewards of our parishioners' contributions and time as we find ways to journey with one another in faith. If you would like to learn more about stewardship at St. Bridget's, please contact our Parish Business Administrator.
Stewardship of Prayer
The foundation of stewardship is prayer and at St. Bridget's we strive to pray and worship God in many ways. Your powerful gift of prayer can be shared at St. Bridget's through Weekend and Daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Bible Studies, Rosary, Recorded Masses, Word Communion Services, Holy Day Masses, Parish Healing Prayer List, and more. Please join our community for prayer at St. Bridget's as often as you are able, and of course, always keep our Parish Community in your personal prayer. If you feel called, you may make a commitment to pray a Hail Mary, an Our Father, and a Glory Be each day and include the heartfelt intentions of St. Bridget's current need of our time, talent, and treasure. Pray that God may help us all to grow in our faith commitment and generosity, making us better able to do His works and His will. Thank you!
There are many ways to generously give of your time at St. Bridget's and get involved in one or more of our many ministries here. To find more information of how you can give of your time and share your light with our community, please visit our Volunteer webpage.
In the Gospels, Jesus challenges us to give as it has been given to us and to be generous with all our gifts - not just the ones we choose. At St. Bridget's we strive to give generously to support the building of the Kingdom of God through Worship and Pastoral Care, Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, Community Outreach, Place of Worship Operations, and more.
Your generous financial gifts are needed to help support our mission of Stewardship and the many ministries we provide. You are building the Kingdom of God in your time, talent, and treasure and we can't thank you enough. We ask that parishioners prayerfully review their monetary giving to St. Bridget's annually, so they may revisit how they are giving and to what ministry funds.
Give at St. Bridget of Sweden and the Greater Community
An endowment is a repository for financial gifts given to an institution, with a special purpose stated by the donor. Our Endowment Funds are designed to preserve the principal (the original gift), while using part of the interest money earned to support the work of the Parish. At St. St. Bridget's, we have invested the money donated to the Endowment Funds, and use a portion of each year's investment earnings for priority parish projects or reinvest it for future projects. What makes our Endowment unique is that the original gift is never spent! It continues to earn interest forever, or “in perpetuity”. Therefore, your gift today will continue to benefit the St. Bridget's community year after year.....forever!
The Stewardship Committee is dedicated to welcoming everyone to the St. Birdget of Sweden parish community. We support and provide opportunities for expaning discipleship service involving prayer, generosity, and pariticipation. Members of the committee assist in creating a sustainable plan to invite parishioners to be generous in offering their gifts in support of the parish mission. The Committee also works closely with the Synod Team to expand two initiatives for young family programs/events, and creating a Welcoming Committee for new parishioners.
