**St. Bridget of Sweden is NO LONGER the location to receive CLACA Emergency Services. If you are in need of the services listed below, you may visit Maranatha Chisago Lakes Campus at 10963 Lake Blvd, Chisago City, MN 55013.**
St. Bridget of Sweden is a part of the Chisago Lakes Area Clergy Association (CLACA) which helps to provide emergency relief resources to those in need in our community. The services CLACA provides are up to $50 of local gasoline for a vehicle, $50 of local groceries, or a one night stay in a local motel.
These services can be provided to an individual every six months in the event of an emergency only. Meaning, we are only able to serve those who find themselves in an emergency situation and unable to pay for basic needs. This program is not a long-term solution for those consistently unable to provide for their food, shelter, and transportation needs.
You and all parties present and/or involved in receiving the resources will need to provide a valid form of identification, CLACA records will be checked and approval or disapproval of emergency relief request will be determined. Again, you and all parties involved, must be physically present to receive these services.
Please note: CLACA resources do not include giftcards for gasoline or groceries, meaning Maranatha does not hold giftcards on campus. Resources are credit based with local businesses and CLACA only works with them to provide these services. Also, the one night motel stay service is granted only to those whose vaild identification indicates an address that is located in the Chisago Lakes Area.
New Pathways Homeless families Help
New Pathways' is a local nonprofit organization that walks with families who are experiencing homelessness and finds them shelter for the short and long term. New Pathways’ mission is to build a stronger community by providing shelter and support services to families with children experiencing homelessness. Supporting families is a team effort, which is why their Path to Home shelter chose a model that relies on hundreds of local volunteers. Their hope is to connect families with people and resources that will help them to be successful long term. They want to see families thrive, as opposed to just survive. This includes meals, a safe, warm place to sleep, and skills and resources necessary to find and maintain housing.
